This is a really great opportunity for someone with buying experience either from a building merchant or construction background, to join a growing yet established construction company who work on a variety of commercial and public sector projects, where you will get full internal training and progression up to Senior Buyer.

This growing construction company have been operating for over 50 years, where they have and continue to work in a variety of sectors. Working mostly within the commercial and public sector they also offer their service in the residential and industrial markets. Working on either new build or refurbishment projects they can offer a full design and build service to their diverse range of clientele. This has found them great success which is why they are looking to add to their close-knit and dynamic team with this great opportunity.
In this role you will take on a number of responsibilities, where you will be responsible for purchasing construction materials for new and on-going projects. You will be liaising with site, project and contracts managers to ensure orders are fulfilled and materials managed. As well as that you will be looking through tenders, estimates and construction plans to get an understanding of where costs can be saved. Finally, amongst other responsibilities you will be managing and organizing the yard, waste disposal for sites and taking deliveries.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with buying experience from a construction or building merchants background looking to expand their skill set with a main contractor where you receive full training and progression.
