Controls Engineer (Automotive)
East Tawas, Michigan
$80,000 - $90,000 + 15% Bonus + 401(k) + Progression + Health Package + PTO + Vacation + Days Based Role + Weekends Off + Training

This company are industry leaders and have a respected and varied product line that they manufacture. Due to continued growth year on year, they are expanding their headcount exponentially, and are looking for a Controls Engineer to take the lead on specialized projects.
On offer is a position that allows for professional growth, whilst also giving a high level of autonomy, within the Controls department, being a technical point of contact for all controls tasks, installation, repair, maintenance and design, working with Allen-Bradley PLC's, and Siemens PLC's. You will be creating automated systems, drive systems and robotic systems.
This role would suit a Controls Engineer looking to develop their skillset, working for a leading stable company, offering excellent bonus potential and a brilliant health package, with the chance to step not Maintenance Management or Sr Controls Engineer with tenure and results.
The Role:
- Working on all aspects of controls and system maintenance, being the technical point of contact
- Working collaboratively with other departments to create remote means for company control systems
- Handle the design, installation and maintenance of all control systems, such as Allen Bradley PLC's, Siemens PLC's and HMI's
- Create ideas and curate new projects for all control systems, inclusive of Robotic Systems, drive systems and automated systems.
The Person:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Mechatronics
- Previous experience as a Controls Engineer
- Experience using Allen Bradley PLC's, Siemens PLC's and HMI's doing design, maintenance and installation repair of control systems and automated robotics (ABB)
- Proficient with repair of robotics
