Customer Supply Chain Assistant (Food Production / Manufacturing)

£28,000 - £35,000 + Development + Progression + 31 days holiday + Pension

Monday to Friday

Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire (Commutable from: Newark, Mansfield, Nottingham, Worksop, and Retford)

Due to winning some fantastic new contracts they are now looking for a customer facing supply chain professional to be the link between the customer & the company in a varied and interesting role.

In this role you will be reporting to the Commercial Director within a busy food production site & will be pivotal in supporting long term supply arrangements with valued customers. Information gathering will be at the heart of this role and it will be essential that data can be consolidated and shared in a consistent, timely and accurate manner to enable proactive customer support.

The Role:

  • Support customer supply chain review meetings with presentations on 'Plan for Better', security of supply and cost model
  • Support for day-to-day supply chain function & planning and liaison with internal factory teams
  • Maintaining all supply chain documentation, preparing presentations, reports, analysis, Customer briefings & updates, retail pricing surveys & benchmarking


The person:

  • Previous experience within a supply chain role
  • Fantastic communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers & internal teams
  • Excellent office administration & data literacy skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable with high attention to detail & problem-solving capability
