This College seeks a passionate and enthusiastic Workplace Trainer / Engineering Lecturer to deliver engaging training and mentorship to apprentices in various engineering disciplines.

The Role:

  • Teaching and mentoring apprentices at Level 3 (and potentially higher levels) in engineering disciplines.
  • Designing and delivering industry-relevant training, incorporating new technologies and innovative approaches.
  • Coaching and mentoring apprentices in the workplace, supporting their skill development and career progression.
  • Engaging with employers and apprentices during site visits, ensuring practical application of learned skills.
  • No prior teaching experience is required; comprehensive training and development opportunities are provided, including support for achieving assessor and teaching qualifications (Level 3 and 5).


The Person:

  • Relevant industry experience in mechatronics, robotics, industrial electrical maintenance, panel wiring/building, or electronics/PCB assembly.
  • Level 3 Technical Qualification (e.g., ONC, BTEC, EAL) in a relevant engineering field. HNC, HND, or Degree desirable.
  • Passionate about sharing your knowledge and inspiring young people in engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teaching and mentoring.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and Enhanced DBS check essential.
