Are you a Senior Manager or Head of Software Engineering looking to join a heavily funded start-up offering rapid progression to director level?
On offer is the chance to lead a specialist team of engineers at a rapidly expanding start-up at the forefront of their industry.
This exciting start-up, founded by ex-Space-X employees, are on a mission to get nuclear energy on the map. They are building a start-of-the-art nuclear microreactor with a vision to replace diesel generators.
You will be responsible for overseeing the software team, keeping direct communication with the CEO and COO in order to maintain the company's vision. You will be tasked with co-ordinating exciting projects and keeping a clear roadmap in site of software milestones.
This is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic Director-level engineer eager to step up into a Head of role, or an accomplished Head of Engineering ready to take lead at a fast-growing Series B start-up.
The Role:
*Develop a top-tier software engineering team that consistently delivers outstanding results
*Direct the software development process, ensuring schedules, budgets, and strategies are aligned with the organization's objectives
*Cultivate a collaborative and accountable culture, emphasizing the development of engineers who take full ownership of their projects from inception to completion
*Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and leadership to translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions
*Lead the design and expansion of the DevOps organization to meet the growing needs of the company
*C++, C# and Python environment
The Person:
*Skilled in leading and mentoring software teams, fostering growth and expertise
*Extensive experience in software development for hardware products, from initial concept to full-scale production
*Proven track record of guiding high-performance software teams, with a focus on optimizing operations, best practices, methodologies, and tools
*Adept at navigating multidisciplinary technical environments to tackle complex and ambiguous challenges
*Capable of seamlessly transitioning between in-depth technical problem-solving and strategic planning
