Leipzig (Onsite/ Hybrid)

€85,000-100,000 + Bonus + Holiday

Excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Manager, who is looking to join a leading automotive manufacturer in a team lead role at the Leipzig plant.

The company is a global leader in the automotive industry, who serves a variety of other industries including the rail, aerospace, medical, IT and logistics. They operate in over 40 countries, and specialise in just-in-sequence module assembly, supply chain management, system integration and complexity management.

The ideal candidate is a will be an experience IT team lead, from automotive or manufacturing industries, with excellent knowledge of IT system requirements with regards to network, security, data protection and interface technology.

The role:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of EDI, JIT/JIS and MES production systems.
  • Ensuring the availability of IT systems and communication facilities as well as information security and data integrity in the plant.
  • Technical responsibility for all IT systems in the plant.
  • Technical and disciplinary management of the IT team (3 employees).
  • Ensuring backup and downgrade modes to safeguard production and logistics processes.
  • Implementation of corporate guidelines, particularly with regard to hardware, software, security, etc.
  • Managing IT service contracts and relationships with external suppliers.
  • Preparation and monitoring of the site-specific IT budget (initiation or validation of all relevant IT purchases).


The person:

  • Successfully company a Bachelors degree in information technology or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IT system requirements with regard to network, security, data protection and interface technology as well as extensive business knowledge.
  • Experience leading IT teams.
  • Fluent in English, B2 German.
