Excellent opportunity for a licensed Mechanical Engineer from an MEPF/HVAC industry background to leave their mark on a nationwide engineering business in a career-defining role that will see them growing and leading a brand-new team based out of one of the company's core offices.

This family-owned and employee-focused business has over 20 offices across the USA, having operated in the fields of MEPF, HVAC/R and AEC for over 45 years. Their clients span across a variety of industries, covering things such as Healthcare, Local Governments, Hospitality, Multifamily Residential, Industrial, Leisure and Sustainable Energy.

In this role you will be responsible for the growth, leadership, mentorship and oversight of a new team of Mechanical Engineers involved in the delivery of complex engineering projects across Georgia. As this will be a new department for the business in the state, you will also be responsible for business development activities including meeting with prospective clients, supporting with the acquisition of new work and acting as an ambassador for the company such as by attending conferences.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years' experience working on a variety of MEPF/HVACR/Energy projects and will have demonstrable leadership and business development experience.

The role:
* Acting in a client-facing role that will see them representing the business at high-level meetings and industry events
* Meeting with prospective clients and engaging in business development activities to secure a new pipeline of work for the business in Georgia
* Supporting with the development of complex, multi-layered proposals for high-value projects
* Growing, coaching, leading & overseeing the work of a new Mechanical Engineering team involved in Commercial, Industrial, Multifamily, Hospitality, Healthcare, Government & similar projects
* Managing, reviewing and approving Mechanical Design work for multiple projects involving Plumbing, Piping, HVACR and associated systems
* Preparing project documentation including piping and ductwork plans, drawings, bills of materials

The Person:
* Licensed Mechanical Engineer
* 10+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering
* Demonstrable experience in business development, including engineering proposals
* Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit
* Experience working in the MEPF/HVACR/Building Services industry
* Energy Modelling experience (desirable)
* Experience delivering local government projects (advantageous but not essential)
* Active driving license
