Mechanical Project Engineer

Excellent opportunity for a Professional Engineer or an Engineer-In-Training from a Mechanical background to play a leading role in the delivery of high-profile projects with household-name companies across a variety of industries.
This EPC business has been driving the development of communities for over 40 years across North America. They provide MEP, AEC & HVAC specialist services to a variety of high-profile clients across a range of sectors such as Power Generation/Infrastructure, Industrial, Retail, Hospitality and Big-Box stores.
Alongside actively growing their existing offices, they are soon to be setting up in a brand-new state for them, with the office planned to be close by to one of their main clients - one of the largest retailers in the US.
In this role you will hold responsibility for all aspects of Mechanical Engineering across projects from start to finish - this will include engineering calculations, design compliance/reviews, liaising with clients/progress reporting, inputting into scope/schedule/budget production, work allocation and staff coordination.
The ideal candidate will hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely associated discipline, will have 6+ years' experience in Project Engineering/Project Management for MEP/HVAC projects, and will hold a Professional Engineer licence or will be an Engineer-In-Training that is interested in working towards PE licensure.

The role:
* Working alongside management to produce project scopes, schedules and budgets
* Leading, mentoring and reviewing works carried out by engineering staff under them e.g Designers
* Assisting with system designs and performing engineering calculations to ensure compliance with requirements, standards, codes and policies
* Carrying out preliminary and final design reviews
* Ensuring completion and delivery of high-quality construction documentation
* Acting as client point-of-contact throughout project lifecycle
* Consulting with clients to provide technical guidance, advice on best-practice etc.
The Person:
* B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
* 6+ years' experience in Project Engineering/Project Management for MEP/HVAC projects
* Preferably holding a Professional Engineer license, or alternatively being a certified EIT
* Experienced in AutoCAD and Revit
* Ideally being experienced in Energy Modelling software
* Experience with MicroStation or Navisworks (advantageous but not essential)
* Active driving license
