£40,000 + Training & Development + Progression + Holiday + Pension

Monday - Friday (Days)

East Yorkshire - commutable from Hull, York, Market Weighton, Selby, Goole, Doncaster

Excellent Opportunity for a Quality Manager from a food/ fresh produce background to join an industry leading company in an interesting and challenging role.

In this role you will be using your leadership, planning & people skills to ensure the Quality Department runs as efficiently & smoothly as possible. Duties will include Overseeing the Quality Department, being responsible for site food safety and quality, systems policies, procedures and equipment, dealing with complaints and assisting in 3rd party audits.

There is excellent industry specific training so candidates from a quality management fresh produce / food production background are encouraged to apply.

The Role:

  • Leading the Quality function in a busy food production environment
  • Ensuring strict adherence to food safety culture and hygiene standards are implemented, maintained and adhered to
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling all activities and staff within the Quality team to enable the business to achieve the right quality product at the right time, in line with food quality and safety systems
  • Fulfil continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and streamline processes and procedures
  • Improve labour effectiveness of the Quality team
  • Managing the Quality budget for the site

The Person:

  • Previous Quality Management experience within a food or fresh produce production /manufacturing environment
  • Degree level qualification in science or food technology (or equivalent experience).
  • Level 3-4 HACCP, TACCP & VACCP qualifications
  • Ability to champion industry & quality best practices, a food safety culture and ensuring legislation and company policies are adhered to
