Trainee Service Engineer

An excellent opportunity for an engineer with electromechanical skills looking to join an industry leading company who can offer specialist training for you to become a service engineer, whilst also having the chance to travel across the globe.

Do you have an background in electrical or mechanical engineering? Would you like to train as a specialist service engineer and travel the globe?

Established for over 40 years, this industry leading company specialise in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery for use in a variety of industries. They have seen a lot of success over the past few years and are now looking to expand. Due to this they are now looking for a service engineer to join their expert team.

In this varied role you will be split between the office and the field, spending 50% of your time in the office providing remote support, and 50% of your time travelling around the UK and internationally. When onsite you will providing a mixture of service, maintenance, installation & commissioning services on the company's entire product range. In addition to this you will be provided with specialist training in order for you to become an expert in the industry.

This role would therefore suit an engineer with electrical or mechanical experience who is looking for the chance to train as a specialist service engineer, whilst travelling the globe and working for an industry leading company.

The Role:

  • Service, maintenance, installation and remote support
  • Working on specialist electro-mechanical machinery
  • 50% based in the office & 50% travelling
  • Specialist training provided
  • £30,000 - £40,000 + Car + Overtime + Training + Benefits

The Person:

  • Engineer with electrical or mechanical skills
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Some software or PLC knowledge beneficial
  • Happy for worldwide travel
  • Commutable to Chelmsford
