Power Plant - Control Room Operator (CRO)
Dickerson, MD - commutable from Leesburg, VA
$38 - $42 per hour + Full Benefits Package + Rotating Shift Schedule (7 days off every 2 weeks) + 401k match + Progression into Supervisory Positions + Training on ASME & QRO Certifications

In this varied role, you will take on a senior position within the company whilst still having room for growth. This role includes monitoring the day-day boiler and plant operations ensuring the plant stays efficient and is running at full capacity, whilst co-supervising a team of highly skilled Technicians alongside the Maintenance Manager.
This role will suit a Control Room Operator looking to progress into supervisor positions in an environment which embraces teamwork and the ability to hone your technical skills.
The Role:
- Monitor the plant operations and ensure efficiency is kept up to a high standard
- Liaise with Auxiliary Operator and Plant Supervisor to manage team members effectively and the smooth operation of the plant
- 5 on - 2 off - 2 on - 5 off - rotating shift schedule
- Progression into Supervisory position and obtain key certifications as a CRO
The Person:
- Previous experience in gas, hydro power, energy as a CRO
- Ability to obtain ASME or QRO within first 12 months of employment (expenses covered)
- Keen understanding of boiler pressures and able to liaise with Auxiliary Operator to maintain valves
