Senior Engineering Manager- EVE
Berlin (Hybrid)
€150,000-200,000 + Stock options + Holiday + benefits
Excellent opportunity for an experience Engineering Lead, who has a passion for building new things and helping to scale the global software engineering company.
The company, are passionate about building the next generation of Edge Computing solutions. They deliver a distributed, cloud-native edge management and orchestration solution, simplifying the security and remote management of edge infrastructure and applications at scale.
The ideal candidate will have a deep experience and a passion for Open Source projects. You will have a proven track record of scaling teams and experience with hands of software architecture, design and implementation.

The role:
- You will be responsible for driving the designing, developing and testing of the company's contributions to Linux Foundation Project Edge Virtualization Engine (EVE).
- You will be responsible for the overall success of our open source EVE-OS software development efforts.
- You will work with the CTO to cultivate and encourage open source developers to contribute to the EVE-OS project.
- You will participate in LF-EDGE community events and take a leadership position in maturing the EVE-OS through the Open Source project life cycle.
The person:
- Experience with hands on software architecture, design and implementation in all areas of technology, architecture, data design, and user interface.
- You should have a track record of successful product delivery in the open sources industry.
- Demonstrated experience building software in partnership with the open source community.
- The ability to plan, organize & execute on software products in a timely manner to a high quality.
- Contributed to an open source project in the past, a record with upstreaming features in the open source environment.
- Substantial experience with Linux kernel internals and concepts a understanding Linux kernel development principles.
